Meet Dr. Elyassi
Dr. Elyassi grew up in Potomac, Maryland, where he received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from University of Maryland Baltimore County and Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. He completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Tripler Army Medical Center, where he graduated "top resident."
Meet Dr. Joyce
Dr. Nicholas Joyce was born and raised in Richmond, VA. He attended Hampden-Sydney College located in Farmville, VA where he received a B.S. degree in Biology. During this time in undergraduate studies, Dr. Joyce volunteered extensively for the Missions of Mercy dental trips where he was exposed to the vast, fulfilling, and exciting field of dentistry. His exposure to Oral and Maxillofacial surgery was cultivated during this time as well and throughout his dental school studies. Thereafter, he moved to Washington, DC where he attended Howard University’s College of Dentistry and received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Joyce continued his post-graduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital and associated hospitals including Washington Hospital Center, Children’s National Medical Center, and the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Joyce practices full scope Oral and Maxillofacial surgery but with a particular interest in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, bone grafting for dental implants, wisdom teeth, and sedation. He believes in treating patients as if they are family and providing them with care that they can be confident in.
In terms of membership, he is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association.
In Dr. Joyce’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and dog. Dr. Joyce is an avid reader, loves traveling, and sports.
